John Mulaney sparked our sense of MS humor

I’m not content with settling for the adage that laughter is the best medicine.

That is, not after Jennifer and my quest to see our favorite comedian John Mulaney taught us that the pursuit of laughter had the power to do more than simply humor us through our Multiple Sclerosis.

This recent experience taught us valuable points of clarity in the actions we do and don’t take in living with this progressive disease. Read all about our journey in my current essay of Exclusive Content for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation’s MS Focus Magazine – No joke: Life with MS was a laughing matter.

Check it out and gain perspectives to help you make the most of the opportunities you have in life and move forward with the actions that you do and don’t take.

“… Yes, there is a lot that can go wrong because of our unpredictable disease, but there also is a lot that can go right because we all are resilient. We win simply by not letting MS make the decisions for us on whether or not we try. …”

Read the essay and join us on our trek that started with initial discussions at 6:30 p.m. to skip the show and go to bed early and ended with us laughing as we turned off the bedroom lights just before 3 a.m.

  1. Perfect perspective! Sometimes you just have to break from what’s right & go competely rouge!
Bet it was an awesome show. I am jealous!
    Thanks for sharing your adventure!

    • Thanks, Doug! Keep an eye out for John Mulaney’s tour coming your way. He doesn’t disappoint 🙂 And, yes, we played the odds on that one, and it truly paid off.
