The weighing is the hardest part

When is the last time you weighed yourself? How did you do it?

For most people, it’s a matter of stepping on a scale and looking at the number.

But for Jennifer, who no longer can stand on her own, it’s more of a process. Oh yeah, and we also need a scale that’s big enough to accommodate the two of us.

We condensed our process down to nine seconds for this video, which was inspired by an Instagram post from fitness trainer Nikki Walsh.

In short this is how we track our individual weight:

• I weigh myself and write it down

• I help Jennifer stand with me

• We take our combined weight and write it down

• We subtract my weight and voila! We have Jennifer’s weight

Keeping track of our weight is key as we move forward with 2023 and focus on maximizing our health.

We encourage you to listen to the latest episode of our A Couple Takes on MS podcast – MS isn’t worth the weight (or wherever you listen to your podcasts) – to hear what keeps us motivated (hint: it includes us flying in an airplane, Jennifer venturing into some modeling and trying a new weight loss program) to control our health and reach our targeted weight loss goals.
