Here’s ‘The Talk’ families with MS need to have

Families living with Multiple Sclerosis have a new resource to help them have difficult conversations about this chronic disease.

“The Talk – Multiple Sclerosis …. Speaking to Your Family About Your Disease” is available on YouTube for you to view and share with others. This was a free online webinar that Dan and I spent this past summer planning and coordinating with AnCan.

Hear what featured speaker Dr. Aaron Boster, founder of The Boster Center for Multiple Sclerosis and leading MS vlogger, had to say about MS life expectancy, genetics and ways to lessen the risk of children getting diagnosed with MS.

“You don’t have MS by yourself,” Dr. Boster said. “You have MS with your village, and the most important village members, and the key – the core – of that village is your family.”

Check out the video to hear what else he had to say and to hear from four families who share how they have dealt with communicating about MS within their village.

We hope you enjoy this first-ever The Talk – Multiple Sclerosis! We are thankful for Dr. Boster, our engaging panelists and event moderator Brenda Miller for making this such a positive conversation for the MS community.

And remember to connect with us and become part of our village at AnCan’s twice-monthly virtual MS support group.
