Join our conversation to hear how a toxin that’s commonly used for cosmetic purposes is a game changer for Jennifer in managing her MS-induced neurogenic bladder.

She had her second-ever Botox treatment on July 12, and these treatments have given her increased urinary continence and confidence. And this twice-a-year procedure is just one way Jennifer is showing this disease who’s boss.

Listen to learn what led her to consider this form of treatment, how her previous experiences with MS disease-modifying therapies instilled the confidence to move forward with Botox, and what her advice is for anybody with MS who is looking into this option for treating MS-related incontinence issues.

  1. Hi!!
My husband and I both have MS. We have been following you both for Quite some time now. We have a question if you have heard of any other MS person who has received Botox in their arm to help loosen up the Spasticity? Any advice?
    Thank you!

    • Thanks for reaching out and connecting with us! You bring up a great question. Would you believe that just yesterday in my annual visit with my neurologist, I was commenting about how much my right hand was involuntarily closing up into a fist, she had mentioned the potential of looking into injecting Botox into my hand to alleviate some of the spasticity? I think it’s definitely something for you and Brian to talk about with your neurologist. Something else to ask about along with the Botox is Xeomin. We wrote about this in an earlier blog post as a medicine that potentially can help with spasticity. Check it out at https://acoupletakesonms.com/send-in-the-cats/ I hope this helps, and please let us know if there is anything else we can help with. And yes, someday we should all connect through FaceTime or Zoom 🙂
