A regional story that aired during NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered this past week set the stage perfectly:
“An Australian study shows that people with multiple sclerosis are four times more likely to divorce than people without the disease,” the radio host said. ”But one mid-Michigan couple has been beating those odds despite both having MS and have been happily married for nearly two decades.”
Gulp.
They were talking about Dan and me.
We are thankful to morning host Tina Sawyer at WCMU Public Media for reaching out to share our stories of determination, love, and partnership with the broadcast network’s listeners throughout northern and lower Michigan.
We encourage you to listen to the story Mount Pleasant couple beats the odds while both battling MS.
Tina and her team did an incredible job with our conversation and putting this story together. We hope our story serves as a reminder that even in the face of challenges, we can all find strength and joy.
