Since Dan and I married nearly 18 years ago, our passion and focus has centered around increasing awareness about Multiple Sclerosis. We also enjoy working as MS activists and advocates.
This disease is taxing to live with and creates caregiving challenges and opportunities we like to write about and share, thus, A Couple Takes on MS.
So when our friend and webmaster Ryan D. told us about software that would make our website more accessible and functional for the disability community, we had to learn more and embrace this technology.
After all, we are advocates for accessibility, so why wouldn’t we want that for our website?
This is why, as noted with the blue circle icon on the right side of your screen, we have added the accessiBe feature to improve the overall user experience of our A Couple Takes on MS website.
accessiBe utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to automatically generate accessibility adjustments tailored to each user’s needs. With features like screen-reader optimization, color contrasts, and keyboard navigation enhancements, we hope that people with visual, auditory, or motor impairments can visit and hopefully learn from A Couple Takes On MS with ease.
Full transparency: we are receiving absolutely no compensation or discount in writing an essay about accessiBe. We are just that excited about what it’s doing to boost our website’s functionality for more people.
We fully understand that website accessibility is crucial for inclusivity and equal access to information in today’s digital age. Dan and I want a better browsing experience for others. By adopting accessiBE, we have created a website that is an inclusive space for all visitors, regardless of disabilities.
The AI-driven system ensures that website adjustments are continually updated and optimized, keeping up with the latest accessibility standards. This proactive approach eliminates the need for manual adjustments and provides a consistent experience for all visitors, regardless of their device or assistive technology.
We hope you take a few minutes to explore this new feature and see what accesiBe offers to boost inclusivity and equal access for everyone.
